DELTA ZETA
Zeta Psi Chapter
Recruitment
Formal Fall Recruitment is governed by the Panhellenic Council and is a whole week process that starts a few days before the fall semester begins! During this week a Potential New Member will be able to learn more about each house's philanthropy, sisterhood, values, and more.
Informal Spring Recruitment is a little different process. Invitations can be sent out by meeting us at some of our sisterhood events or spending time with us at the DZ house to get to know Delta Zeta better!
Fall formal recruitment 2024
Philanthropy Round
During Round One, you will go to each of the five sorority houses and hear all about their philanthropies! We will tell you more about our wonderful philanthropy, Support of Hearing and Speech!
We recommend you wear a SFA or purple shirt. You can pair it with some of your favorite bottoms such as a skirt, jeans or shorts!
Always remember to stay true to yourself, we cannot wait to meet YOU!
Sisterhood Round
During Round Two, you will visit up to four houses and learn more about the unique sisterhood each chapter has. Delta Zeta's sisterhood is authentic, has friendships that last a lifetime, and love that is ever steadfast.
A sundress paired with cute sandals or wedges would be perfect for Sisterhood Round!
Preference Round
During Round Three, you will visit up to two houses and learn more about the core values of those chapters. Delta Zeta's core values are Curiosity, Generosity, Citizenship, Empowerment and Belonging! Every day we are so proud to be Delta Zetas!
This is the most formal round. A cocktail dress and heels are recommended for Preference Round!
Vice President of Membership
Madelyn Beckner
Dear Potential New Member,
My name is Madelyn, and I am the Vice President of Membership for Delta Zeta Psi chapter here at Stephen F. Austin State University. Going to college is a fun and exciting chapter in your life! As you start your journey as to becoming a Panhellenic woman, I want to tell you how going Greek has changed my college experience. Before I joined sorority, I was on the SFA Spirit team, I am a first-generation student alongside first-generation Greek. Being a Delta Zeta Women, I have been able to have the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people that have shown me how to step up to be a leader. I have created a family here at SFA that feels like a home away from home and created memories that I will cherish forever even after college. What I first fell in love with here at Delta Zeta was the core values that we represent. Friendship, curiosity, generosity, citizenship, empowerment and belonging.
Being in the chapter, these values have shined through and through each and every day. My time in the chapter has helped me grow as a woman, as a first-generation student, socially and academically. Going through the recruitment process can be overwhelming but be who you are and open yourself to the different women you will have conversations with and to trust yourself to find your home away from and create the love that I have created at Delta Zeta.
Congratualations and I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of you in Fall!
Truly DZLAM
